Revolutionary Drinking

On Sunday, I had the pleasure of visiting the tasting room at Philadelphia Distilling with a friend. Straight up, this place is a delight! The cocktails are absolutely delicious. (That’s the Early Frost and the Corpse Reviver #2 pictured above.) The staff are lovely–friendly and helpful, and didn’t balk at all when we asked them to just order some food for us. Speaking of….we only had noshies, but they were yummy, too.

Philadelphia Distilling is the home of Bluecoat Gin, so named for the uniforms that the American soldiers wore in the Revolutionary War. Bluecoat is allegedly a London dry-style gin, but flavored for the American palate. I’m not a gin drinker, but…..maybe Bluecoat’s what’ll turn me into one. That gin-based Corpse Revivor was quite good!

And I loved the sentiment on the wall. “United We Create”, indeed. 100% add this to your list of places to visit!
